Job summary

Thanksgiving Point Institute is seeking a Curiosity Café Team Member to prepare and deliver food in the Museum of Natural Curiosity café. You will greet guests, cashier, deliver orders, and maintain a clean, organized work space while engaging with visitors of all ages.

The role supports a welcoming guest experience in a hands-on exhibits environment. Part-time shifts, with no nights or Sundays, plus benefits like free membership for you and family, are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service is preferred.
• Ability to work 10am–4pm shifts, Monday-Saturday.
• Must be 16 years or older.
• Background check required.
• Able to stand for long periods.

Curiosity Café Team Member Job Description

Wage: $12-$13.00

Shift: Monday- Saturday from 10am-4pm (3-4 shifts per week). No nights or Sundays

Summary: Come join our amazing Curiosity team at Thanksgiving Point! You will be given the opportunity to interact with and serve our guests as they experience more than 400 hands-on exhibits designed to bring out the kid in all. In this role, you will work in the Cafe located inside the Museum of Natural Curiosity. You will prepare and deliver food and keep the café clean and organized.

Responsibilities:

• Cook and prepare orders
• Greet guests, cashiering, delivering orders
• Maintaining a clean and organized work space
• Have positivity and patience with guests and coworkers
• Execute tasks in a timely manner
• Self-motivated and focused on the job
• Punctual with the scheduled times of work

Requirements:

• Food Handlers Permit (can be obtained after hire)
• Clean and professional appearance in uniform
• Standing for long periods of time
• Previous food service experience and/or cash handling appreciated but not required
• Organized and detail oriented
• Pass a background check
• 16 years or older
