Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY seeks a skilled Radiologic Technologist with leadership abilities. You will perform advanced imaging, particularly cardiac CT, under the Chief Technologist, while supervising staff technologists and optimizing workflow.

The position requires ARRT certification, NY licensure with IV injection certification, and IV contrast proficiency. Schedule is 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with a 7.5 hour daily shift.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• ARRT certification and NY license with IV-injection certification.
• IV contrast certified; AART certification required.
• Cardiac CT experience preferred; IV insertion experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging studies with independent judgment under direction of Chief Technologist.
• Provide leadership to staff technologists and assign work.
• Able to manage traffic/control in the radiology area.
• Ensure protocols for ARRT, NY licensure and IV contrast are followed.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Under the direction of the Chief Technologist, performs necessary sophisticated imaging studies at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for imaging diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Provides leadership role for staff technologists. Assigns work to staff technologist and is generally responsible for traffic control in technical area.

SCHEDULE

9 AM-5:30 PM. Monday-Friday.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

• Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred.


• Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training that meets the requirements for certification by the ARRT.


• Registered Radiologic Technologist- licensed & injection certified by the state of New York.
