Job summary

STAR Physical Therapy seeks a physical therapy aide to assist therapists with treatments under supervision in a busy clinic. You will help set up patients, maintain treatment areas, and support administrative tasks to keep daily operations flowing smoothly.

The role emphasizes autonomy, basic PC skills, and familiarity with EMR systems to document care and coordinate patient flow within a team that values clinical excellence and community service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; preference for allied health interest.
• Ability to work efficiently in an autonomous environment.
• Basic PC skills and experience with EMR systems, databases, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists with treatments under direct supervision.
• Clean and maintain equipment, treatment areas, and linen supply.
• Perform routine maintenance on treatment equipment and surfaces.
• Set up patients for treatments and assist with exercises as directed.
• Help with administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, and scheduling patients.
• Order supplies and assist with inventory under the Clinic Director.
• Maintain safety protocols and conduct equipment checks.
• Contribute to a positive clinic environment and team efforts.

Job Description

• Clean and maintain equipment, treatment areas, and linen supply.
• Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning hot pack machines and disinfecting treatment tables.
• Set up patients for treatments and assist with exercises as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Help with administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, and scheduling patients.
• Order supplies and assist with inventory management under the direction of the Clinic Director.
• Maintain safety protocols, including equipment checks and fire safety procedures.
• Contribute to a positive clinic environment and support overall team efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; preference given to those pursuing a career in an allied health profession.
• Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment
• Basic PC skills and knowledge, including but not limited to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, database software, and MS Office
