Job summary

Ascension in Cedar Park, TX, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a day shift, full-time position. You will operate sterilization equipment, inspect and decontaminate instruments, and ensure instrument sets meet current standards with accurate tracking.

The role requires 2+ years in sterile processing and relevant CBSPD or HSPA credentials before hire. You will maintain inventory levels for case carts and participate in quality assurance audits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable job experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience.
• 2+ years of experience in sterile processing preferred.
• Credentials: CBSPD or HSPA prior to hire date or transfer date.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • One or more of the following:
    • Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

• 2+ years experience in sterile processing
• Monday-Friday 10am-6:00pm, plus call requirements
