Job summary

Ascension in Mequon, WI is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join the department. You will deliver sterile, reliable surgical sets by inspecting, assembling, and validating instruments to ensure operating room teams have complete, functional tools for safe patient care.

You will master decontamination and sterilization procedures per IFUs, maintain precise inventory for timely case carts, and operate advanced sterilization equipment to uphold peak safety standards across the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 1 year of applicable experience.
• IAHCSMM credential preferred for sterile processing.
• CBSPD credential preferred.
• Certification Board credential may be used in lieu of education or experience.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) Preferred.
• Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board

Education

for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) Preferred.

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
