Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Colorado is seeking a Calibration Technician to setup, calibrate, and maintain test equipment for aerospace applications. You will interpret drawings and specifications, assemble calibration procedures, and ensure instruments meet exacting standards.

This role requires experience with calibration tools (multimeters, digital thermometers, particle counters), the ability to read technical drawings, and eligibility for a Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

  • Experience with calibration test equipment (multimeters, digital thermometers, particle counters).
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, schematics, and specifications.
  • Familiar with manufacturing processes and use of hand tools and manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrates, tests, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type instruments.
  • Sets up calibration sequences, methods, and procedures per specs, blueprints, and requirements.
  • Disassembles, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment and monitors quality per control procedures.

Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards. Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments. Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements. Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience with test equipment and/or tools used to perform calibrations such as multimeters, digital thermometers and particle counters.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret drawings, work instructions, schematics, and/or specifications
  • Familiar with manufacturing processes, use of hand tools and/or manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret Security Clearance and US Citizenship Required
Desired Skills
  • Experience with calibration tools and equipment (such as multimeters and digital thermometers)
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret drawings, work instructions, schematics, and specifications
  • Familiar with manufacturing processes, use of hand tools and manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret Security Clearance and US Citizenship required
  • Previous work experience in an Aerospace Environment, chemical, electronics and mechanical background or related work experience in adjacent field.
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance understanding and application are important.
  • Good understanding of electrical skills is desired.
  • Basic electrical, chemical, mechanical and test understanding.
  • Experience in Automation Framework, SAP, and METNET.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $56600.00 - $105000.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
