Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Courtland, CA, seeks technicians with electronics and electromechanical expertise. You will build, test, calibrate and troubleshoot equipment from schematics and procedures, using multimeters, oscilloscopes and other tools. A Secret clearance is required; opportunities exist to advance and mentor peers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Exclude technicians working in production or quality assurance.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience and knowledge of proper use of standard hand tools including Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers and/or Function Generators
  • Experience with electonics testing equipment
  • Experience with electrical harnesses or electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience reading engineering drawings and/or following test procedures
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Desired Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to complete routing work instructions and complete jobs in new lines of work or special assignments with detailed work instructions
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Experience in Assembly, Test and/or Launch Operations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/supervise lower level technicians
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor/train lower level technicians
  • Demonstrated technical communication skills
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $50300.00 - $93300.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
