Job summary

Qualifications

• Typically, 2 years avionics work experience or substantiated equivalent experience.
• Must obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required.
• Must be able to work unscheduled overtime including non‑scheduled workdays.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft avionics, electrical and electronic equipment.
• Comply with environmental health, safety policies and procedures.
• Operate ground support equipment as required.

Skills

Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings

Basic PC skills

Ability to demonstrate Inventory & control of tools

Experience on corporate jet aircraft

Education

What are your contributions to the team?

• Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hangar positions)
• Comply with environmental health, safety policies and procedures. Participate in 5‑S activities. Perform all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner
• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft avionics, electrical and electronic equipment
• Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
• Operate ground support equipment as required
• Assist with mechanical / electrical removals and installations
• Assist other maintenance disciplines, and maintenance at off-site locations

How to thrive in this role?

• Avionicselectric A/C Technical School or another substantiated equivalent
• Typically, 2 years avionics work experience or substantiated equivalent experience
• Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings
• Basic PC skills and the ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and aircraft status
• Own Basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate Inventory & control of tools
• Must obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required
• Must be able to work unscheduled overtime including non‑scheduled workdays and holidays and be able to work in seasonal and inclement weather outside
• Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) (if applicable)
• A Certification if required by customer (Commercial Aircraft)
• Airframe Certification, Powerplant Certification, or Airframe & Powerplant Certificate
• GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License) or AET (Aircraft Electronics Technician) Certificate
• Experience on corporate jet aircraft and commercial aircraft
