Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 year in service department preferred.
- Ability to identify problems quickly.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Perform quick oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-offs efficiently and accurately.
- Inspect vehicles for maintenance needs and communicate findings to service advisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns in a friendly manner.
- Assist with other basic preventative maintenance services as needed.
- Perform multi-point inspection and test components to ensure proper operation.
- Diagnose issues, recommend services, and support repair processes.
- Drive vehicle for testing and operate diagnostic tools as needed.
- Inspect fluid levels and tire pressures; replace tires when necessary.
- Complete pre-delivery inspection on new cars and replace filters.

- Previous experience in automotive oil changes or quick lube services preferred
- Basic knowledge of automotive fluids and vehicle maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Michigan State technician training certificate

- Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly.
- Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
- Recommend services based on findings from a thorough inspection
- Drive the vehicle for testing purposes
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
- Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
- Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks
- Inspect fluid levels
- Check air pressure of tires; replace tires as needed
- Complete pre-delivery inspection on new cars- replace oil and air filters
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year in service department
- Ability to identify the problem quickly
- Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
- Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
