Job summary

Master Chevrolet, LLC. is looking for an experienced Automotive Line Technician to join our team in Aiken, South Carolina. The role involves testing and diagnosing vehicles, ensuring systems are secure and working properly. A strong focus on customer service and teamwork is essential. Candidates should have knowledge of automobiles and be comfortable with electronic diagnostic equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in service department for at least 1 year.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on feet for extended periods.
• Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Test to check whether systems and components are secure.
• Isolate systems or components that might have caused problems.
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes.
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of breakdown.
• Use power tools and common hand tools for tasks.

Skills

Ability to identify the problem quickly

Knowledge of automobiles

Effective analytical and communication skills

Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills

Ability to learn new technology and procedures

Basic computer skills

Education

High school diploma or GED

Technical degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks
