Job summary

Precision Pump and Valve (PPV) is seeking a mechanically skilled Valve Technician to service and repair industrial valves in heavy environments. As a VR-certified service center, we handle safety relief valves, control valves, regulators, and related components, supporting oil, gas, petrochemical, and refining operations.

You will perform field and shop work, read measuring devices, and document test results; a strong hands-on background and safety mindset are essential to keep plants running

Qualifications

• Experience servicing valves, pumps, or process control equipment.
• Familiar with safety relief valves, control valves, regulators.
• Background in oil and gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial settings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude in shop or field environments.
• Ability to read precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Detail-oriented with solid documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, testing, and remanufacturing of industrial valves.
• Re-machining and lapping valve components to specs.
• Clean, blast, and paint valve components for service and inspection.
• Operate shop equipment such as blasters, washers, torches, forklifts, and precision tools.
• Document test results, parts used, and work performed.

Valve Technician — Industrial Process Controls & Relief Valves

Job Location: Floresville, TX 78114

We are looking for a mechanically skilled Valve Technician who takes quality seriously and wants to build real expertise in process control equipment. As a VR‑certified service center, we handle everything from safety relief valves and control valves to tank vents, regulators, and chemical injection pumps. When our customers in oil and gas, petrochemical, and refining cannot afford downtime, they call us.

Compensation & Benefits

What You’ll Do

Valve Service and Repair

• Perform maintenance, repair, testing, and remanufacturing of industrial valves including safety relief valves, control valves, tank vents, flame arresters, and regulators.
• Conduct re‑machining and lapping of critical valve components to manufacturer specifications.
• Clean, blast, and paint valve components to prepare for service and final inspection.
• Operate shop equipment including blasters, parts washers, torches, forklifts, and precision measurement tools.

Quality and Documentation

• Follow all safety and quality procedures — our VR certification depends on it.
• Accurately document and enter job data including test results, parts used, and work performed.
• Read and interpret measuring devices to verify component tolerances and performance.

Field and Shop Support

• Perform field service work at customer sites as needed to get equipment back online fast.
• Collaborate with shop and service teams to deliver reliable, on‑time turnarounds for customers.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

• Prior experience servicing valves, pumps, or process control equipment.
• Familiarity with safety relief valves, control valves, regulators, or related industrial equipment.
• Background in oil and gas, petrochemical, refining, or heavy industrial settings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands‑on experience in a shop, industrial, or technical environment.
• Ability to read and use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Detail‑oriented with solid documentation skills — accuracy matters in this work.
• Problem‑solver who can diagnose issues and work through them methodically.Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a shop environment (standing, climbing, bending, stooping).
• High school diploma or GED; technical training or vocational certification a plus.
