Job summary

Precision Pump and Valve (PPV) is seeking a Valve Technician to service and repair industrial valves, including safety relief and control valves, in shop and at customer sites along the Gulf Coast and South Texas.

You will perform re-machining, lapping, cleaning, and painting of valve components, and operate shop equipment while ensuring safety, quality, and accurate documentation of test results and parts used.

Qualifications

• Prior experience servicing valves, pumps or process control equipment.
• Familiarity with safety relief valves, control valves, regulators or related industrial equipment.
• Background in oil/gas, petrochemical, refining or heavy industrial settings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on shop/industrial experience.
• Ability to read and use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges.
• Detail-oriented with solid documentation skills and accuracy.
• Problem solver who can diagnose and fix issues methodically.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, testing, and remanufacturing of industrial valves including safety relief valves and control valves.

• Clean, blast, and paint valve components for service and inspection.
• Operate shop equipment including blasters, washers, torches, forklifts, and precision tools.
• Follow safety and quality procedures; document test results and parts used.
• Read measuring devices to verify tolerances and performance.
• Perform field service at customer sites as needed to restore equipment.
• Collaborate with shop/service teams for reliable, on-time turnarounds.

Pay: $21.00 – $33.00 / hr | Floresville, TX | Full-Time

What You'll Do

Valve Service and Repair

• Perform maintenance, repair, testing, and remanufacturing of industrial valves including safety relief valves, control valves, tank vents, flame arresters, and regulators.
• Conduct re‑machining and lapping of critical valve components to manufacturer specifications.
• Clean, blast, and paint valve components to prepare for service and final inspection.
• Operate shop equipment including blasters, parts washers, torches, forklifts, and precision measurement tools.

Quality and Documentation

• Follow all safety and quality procedures — our VR certification depends on it.
• Accurately document and enter job data including test results, parts used, and work performed.n
• Read and interpret measuring devices to verify component tolerances and performance.

Field and Shop Support

• Perform field service work at customer sites as needed to get equipment back online fast.
• Collaborate with shop and service teams to deliver reliable, on‑time turnarounds for customers.

Must Have

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a shop environment (standing, climbing, bending, stooping).
• High school diploma or GED; technical training or vocational certification a plus.
