Job summary

Precision Pump and Valve (PPV), part of Motion & Control Enterprises, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative in Lake Charles, LA to drive revenue by quoting accurately, processing orders, and following up to convert leads within the Gulf Coast markets for oil & gas, petrochemical, and refining customers reliant on safety relief valves, control valves, and related flow control solutions.

You will manage a portfolio of active accounts, pursue upsell opportunities, coordinate with outside sales

Qualifications

• 3+ years of inside sales, account management, or customer service in flow control or process industries.
• Strong phone presence and the ability to manage high-volume inquiries and quotes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of active Gulf Coast accounts across oil & gas, petrochemical, refining.
• Generate accurate quotes on valves and flow control products; process orders and follow up to close.
• Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities and re-engage inactive accounts._
• Coordinate with outside sales and service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

We take care of our team with a full benefits package:Medical, dental, and vision coverage.Company-paid life, AD&D, and short- and long-term disability insurance.401(k) with a generous company match.Generous PTO and paid holidays.Tuition reimbursement — we invest in your development.Paid parental leave.Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Voluntary benefit products.What You'll DoInside Sales and Account ManagementManage a portfolio of active accounts across oil and gas, petrochemical, refining, and related process industries on the Gulf Coast.Generate accurate quotes on safety relief valves, control valves, isolation valves, regulators, and related flow control and process control products and services.Follow up on open quotes with customers and close orders in a timely manner.Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities across PPV's full product and service offering.Proactively reach out to accounts showing declining activity to re-engage and generate additional orders.Customer Service and Order ManagementServe as the primary inside point of contact for assigned accounts — responding quickly and professionally to inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction on every interaction.Process customer orders, returns, and transactions accurately in the ERP system.Proactively keep customers informed on order status, delivery timelines, and any changes that affect their shipments.Recommend alternative products based on availability, cost, or specification when needed.Educate customers on PPV's flow control products, valve terminology, and service capabilities to improve account growth and customer satisfaction.Operations and Warehouse SupportGenerate shipping labels and coordinate order fulfillment; pull and pack parts for customer orders as needed.Check in incoming freight and parcel deliveries; maintain accurate receiving records.Partner with the outside sales and service teams to ensure seamless customer experience from quote to delivery.What We're Looking ForMust Have:3+ years of inside sales, account management, or customer service experience in a flow control, process industry, or industrial distribution environment.Strong phone presence and communication skills — comfortable managing a high volume of inbound and outbound customer interactions.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) and experience with ERP and/or CRM systems.Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage a large account portfolio accurately in a fast-paced environment.Genuine commitment to customer service and follow-through.Nice to Have:Knowledge of flow control products — safety relief valves, control valves, isolation valves, regulators, or process instrumentation.Background in oil and gas, petrochemical, or refining markets along the Gulf Coast.Familiarity with valve repair, remanufacturing, or VR-certified service operations.5+ years of inside sales or technical customer service experience.About Precision Pump and Valve (PPV)Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Lake Charles, LA, Precision Pump and Valve (PPV) is a VR-certified, full-service provider of specialty process controls including safety relief valves, control valves, regulators, chokes, and chemical injection pumps, serving the oil and gas, petrochemical, and refining industries across the Gulf Coast.
