Job summary

Sammons Industrial is seeking a Field Service Technician III to diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment both in the field and in our shop. You will ensure safety standards, minimize downtime, and strengthen customer relationships through expert service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of forklift or material handling equipment repair experience.
• High school diploma or GED; valid driver's license required.
• Ability to read precision measuring instruments; welding/fabrication skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and rebuild engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, and other components on material handling equipment in field and shop settings.
• Perform preventive maintenance and advanced troubleshooting to manufacturer standards.
• Document service activities accurately, manage parts inventory, and maintain a safe company vehicle and job sites.
• Serve as a technical resource to teammates and support training and onboarding of technicians.

What You'll Do

• Complete accurate service documentation, maintain parts inventory, and ensure your company vehicle and job sites reflect our high safety standards.
• Serve as a technical resource to teammates, support training efforts, and help us attract and onboard top technician talent.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of forklift or material handling equipment repair experience, with strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• A commitment to safety, customer service, and doing the job right the first time.
• Ability to read precision measuring instruments; welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
• High school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, required certifications (or ability to obtain), and your own tools.
