Job summary

Aggreko in the United States is seeking a Technician 2 Temp Control for our Cibolo, TX service center. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, chillers, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors in both shop and field settings.

You will travel locally in a company vehicle, work overtime and weekends as needed, and participate in robust training programs with clear opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience working on commercial HVAC equipment, chillers, performing inspections, maintenance and repairs.
• Experience calculating nominal/effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and reading schematics.
• May need TWIC card or valid DOT medical card depending on customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Based out of the Cibolo, TX service center with daily local travel in company vehicle.
• Occasional overtime, weekend work, and potential travel.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical equipment, chillers, HVAC, and oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at shop and customer sites; perform repairs as needed.

What you'll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Cibolo, TX. service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle
• You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, Chillers, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites

You’ll have the following skills and experience:

• High School diploma/GED
• 4+ years of experience working on commercial HVAC equipment, chillers, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.
