Sammons Industrial, LLC in Orlando, FL is hiring a forklift technician to diagnose, repair, and rebuild forklifts and material handling equipment. You will work on engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and lifting mechanisms while focusing on safety and reliability.

The role requires 3+ years of forklift repair or related experience; mechanical/trade school and Hyster-Yale certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and rebuild forklifts and material handling equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and lifting systems.
• Perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and basic welding as needed.
• Follow safety practices and applicable DOT, OSHA, and regulatory requirements; complete service documentation.

What You’ll Do

Diagnose, repair, and rebuild forklifts and material handling equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and lifting systems. Perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and basic welding as needed. Follow all safety practices and applicable DOT, OSHA, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a Safety-First mindset. Complete service documentation, maintain parts and supplies, care for your company vehicle, and provide dependable customer service.

What You’ll Bring

Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to use precision measuring instruments.
