Job summary

Sammons Industrial in Baton Rouge, LA, is seeking an experienced forklift technician to diagnose, repair, and rebuild forklifts and other material handling equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, follow safety standards, and keep service records.

Three+ years in forklift repair preferred; valid driver’s license; trade school or Hyster-Yale certifications encouraged; you must furnish your own tools and be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of forklift repair experience or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to furnish own tools.
• Trade school or certifications in forklift servicing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild forklifts and other material handling equipment, including engines, hydraulics, electrical, brakes, steering, and lifting systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to identify mechanical and safety concerns.
• Follow safety standards and applicable OSHA and DOT requirements while maintaining a Safety First mindset.

What You’ll Do
