Job summary

Briggs Industrial Solutions is seeking an on-site forklift technician in Louisiana to diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment. You will work to keep fleets running safely and reliably, performing preventive maintenance and repairs as needed.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, strong diagnostic abilities, and a commitment to safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of forklift repair or related experience.
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic, problem-solving and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild forklifts and other material handling equipment, including engines, hydraulics, electrical, brakes, steering, and lifting systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to identify mechanical and safety concerns.
• Follow Briggs safety standards and applicable OSHA and DOT requirements while maintaining a Safety First mindset.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild forklifts and other material handling equipment, including engines, hydraulics, electrical, brakes, steering, and lifting systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to identify mechanical and safety concerns.
• Follow Briggs safety standards and applicable OSHA and DOT requirements while maintaining a Safety First mindset.
• Complete service records, maintain parts and supplies, and participate in required technical training.

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of forklift repair or related experience.
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license; trade school, Hyster-Yale certifications, and welding/fabrication experience are preferred.
• Ability to furnish your own tools, use precision instruments, and lift up to 75 pounds.
