Job summary

Aggreko, LLC is seeking a Technician 1 Air Compressor based in Lemont, IL. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical distribution equipment and oil-free air compressors, with opportunities for overtime and occasional travel.

Based on experience, you will troubleshoot at the shop or on customer sites and may need TWIC/DOT credentials. A valid driver’s license is required and the position offers a full-time schedule with robust training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• 4+ years' experience with power generators, inspections, maintenance and repairs.
• Experience calculating nominal and effective kW and reading schematics.
• May need TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Technician 1 Air Compressor based in Lemont, IL. Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. We keep our customers' worlds on. What you'll do:

You'll be based out of our Lemont, IL service center. You'll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel.

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution equipment, and/or oil free air compressors. Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and occasionally on customer locations and handle the repairs.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED
• 4+ years of experience working on power generators, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

Other essential job requirements

Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts. Willingness to work offshore on an on-call schedule basis to respond to our customers.

• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time, and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices.
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level.
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders.
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat.
