Job summary

Aggreko is seeking an HVAC Technician I in Shakopee, MN. You will travel daily in a company vehicle to field sites and customer locations to install, operate, and service HVAC equipment. Overtime, weekend work, and travel may be required as part of the role.

You should have a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent work experience) and 2–5 years of commercial HVAC experience, with a valid driver’s license. Physical mobility and lifting capabilities are required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience working on commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to travel as required.
• May need TWIC card or DOT medical card depending on customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Field work with local travel daily in company vehicle.
• Possibility of overtime, weekends, and travel.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at shop and on customer locations, and perform repairs.
• Work solo or with others to set up and operate equipment at shop and on customer sites.

What you’ll do:

• Expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle

• You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel

• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs

• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites

You are:

• Able to provide a High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience

• Proven to have 2-5 years of experience working on commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs

• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

• $33.00 to $42.00 an hour with potential for overtime

• Availability to work the assignedschedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be onstandbyfor work outside of regularly scheduledshifts

• Must be able to stand,walkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices

• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level

• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders

• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat.
