Job summary

Network Connex in Georgia is seeking a Telecommunications Technician to support installation and maintenance of telecom structures, cables, and data centers, ensuring safety and high-quality work.

You will participate in on-site builds, install, test and repair equipment, review plans with the Foreman, and help track inventory and documentation.

Candidates with 0–2 years telecom experience and a high school diploma are welcome; willingness to travel and work outdoors in all weather is important.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years Telecommunications experience
• High school diploma, GED, or related trade school education
• Valid driver’s license preferred with driving record meeting company requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; team player
• Ability to travel and work outdoors in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Install, test and repair communications equipment and structures on site
• Take direction from Foreman to ensure safety, quality and budget adherence
• Review build documentation with Foreman and assemble materials for the job
• Help supervise on-site inventory and materials tracking
• Perform inspections, inventories, and audits as needed and submit closeout documents

Job Summary:

Technicians support all aspects of telecommunication installations including the construction and maintenance of telecommunication structures, cables and data centers ensuring that work is performed in the safest manner possible with delivering a high-quality product to our customers.

Job Duties:

• Working on communications equipment and projects. May include installing, testing and repairing structures and equipment.
• Takes direction from crew Foreman ensuring safety and quality standards are met while adhering to project budgets and timeline.
• Review documentation with Foreman to prepare for the build, assemble the necessary materials, and determine the required installation methods.
• Help supervise the tracking of all on-site inventory and materials.
• Perform inspections, inventories, and audits as needed.
• Collect, review, and submit all on-site closeout documentation per the deliverable timelines.
• Assist training crew members on proper safety/quality standards.
• Maintain issued equipment and report deficiencies as needed.

Experience and Education:

• 0-2 years Telecommunications experience
• High school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.), or related trade school education
• Valid driver’s license preferred with a driving record that meets Company requirements.

Competencies/ Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and team player attitude.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to the set schedule.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to travel away from home, including weekends.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions, if working outside.
