Job summary

Network Connex is seeking a Telecommunications Technician to support all aspects of telecommunication installations, including construction and maintenance of telecommunication structures, cables, and data centers. The role emphasizes safe work practices and delivering a high-quality product to customers.

The candidate will work under a Foreman, review build documentation, assemble materials, and ensure timely project completion while adhering to budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years telecommunications experience
• High school diploma, GED, or related trade school
• Valid driver’s license preferred with driving record meeting company requirements

Responsibilities

• Working on communications equipment and projects, including installing, testing and repairing structures and equipment.
• Takes direction from crew Foreman ensuring safety and quality standards are met while adhering to project budgets and timeline.
• Review documentation with Foreman to prepare for the build, assemble necessary materials, and determine installation methods.
• Help supervise tracking of on-site inventory and materials.
• Perform inspections, inventories, and audits as needed.
• Collect, review, and submit all on-site closeout documentation per deliverable timelines.
• Assist training crew members on proper safety/quality standards.
• Maintain issued equipment and report deficiencies as needed.

Job Summary:

Job Duties:

• Working on communications equipment and projects. May include installing, testing and repairing structures and equipment.

Experience and Education:

• High school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.), or related trade school education
• Valid driver’s license preferred with a driving record that meets Company requirements.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and team player attitude.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to the set schedule.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to travel away from home, including weekends.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions, if working outside.
