Job summary

Network Connex invites applications for a Technician I to support telecom installations, including constructing and maintaining structures, cables, and data centers. You’ll deliver a high-quality product while prioritizing safety and reliability on every project.

The role requires 0–2 years of telecom experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license (preferred). You’ll work with a team, travel as needed, and contribute to on-site training and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Install, test and repair communications structures and equipment.

• Submit closeout documentation on schedule; assist training of crew.

Job Summary

The Technician I supports all aspects of telecommunication installations including the construction and maintenance of telecommunication structures, cables and data centers ensuring that work is performed in the safest manner possible with delivering a high-quality product to our customers.

Job Duties

• Working on communications equipment and projects. May include installing, testing and repairing structures and equipment.
• Takes direction from crew Foreman ensuring safety and quality standards are met while adhering to project budgets and timeline.
• Review documentation with Foreman to prepare for the build, assemble the necessary materials, and determine the required installation methods.
• Help supervise the tracking of all on-site inventory and materials.
• Perform inspections, inventories, and audits as needed.
• Collect, review, and submit all on-site closeout documentation per the deliverable timelines.
• Assist training crew members on proper safety/quality standards.
• Maintain issued equipment and report deficiencies as needed.

Experience and Education

• 0-2 years Telecommunications experience
• High school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.), or related trade school education
• Valid driver’s license preferred with a driving record that meets Company requirements.

Competencies / Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and team player attitude.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast‑paced environment while adhering to the set schedule.
• Highly organized and detail‑oriented.
• Ability to travel away from home, including weekends.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions, if working outside.
