Job summary

Georgica Auto Holdings is seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of vehicles. The role involves routine maintenance tasks, diagnostics using equipment, complex repairs on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, and braking systems.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or automotive certification, proven experience in a dealership or independent shop, knowledge of automotive systems, and strong diagnostic tool

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an automotive vocational program or certification is preferred.
• Proven experience as an automotive technician, preferably within a dealership or independent repair shop.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various physical positions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
• Conduct complex repairs on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, and braking systems.
• Perform vehicle inspections and identify necessary repairs or preventative maintenance.
• Document all services performed and parts used accurately and thoroughly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle status and recommended repairs.
• Stay updated on new automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training.
