Job summary

Lockheed Martin Severn, MD seeks a Junior Technician to perform electronic assembly using SMT machines and tooling. You will read engineering drawings, follow instructions, and help improve equipment efficiency while maintaining quality standards.

The role involves calibration, testing, and troubleshooting equipment, with focus on electronics, mechanics, and optics as described. A strong team mindset and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of AS9100 quality standard requirements.
• Ability to hand place SMT components prior to reflow.
• Able to read and understand component and assembly documentation.
• Knowledge of electrical circuits and schematics.

We are seeking a Junior Technician in Severn, MD.

Role & Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of electronic assembly duties, to include MYDATA and Panasonic NPM-WX Pick and place machines, and associated machine tooling (feeders).
• Able to use engineering drawings and comprehend written or verbal instructions.
• To apply constant evaluation of equipment to improve efficiency.

Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Exclude technicians working in production or quality assurance.

Basic Qualifications

• Knowledge and execution of AS9100.
• Ability to hand place SMT components prior to reflow.
• Able to proficiently read and understand component and assembly documentation.
• Self -Motivated and works to achieve high cohesion within the team.
• Knowledge of electrical circuits
• Us Citizen. Ability to obtain & maintain a Secret Security Clearance

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $41000.00 - $76100.00
