Job summary

Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro, NC is seeking a skilled CT Scan Technician to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. You will perform CT imaging procedures, ensure image quality, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating CT scanners.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans per physician orders and department protocols.
  • Verify patient identity and screen for contraindications to CT and IV contrast.
  • Position patients and operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images with minimal dose.
  • Start IV lines and administer contrast media safely.
  • Evaluate images for quality and document procedures in PACS/RIS/EHR.

Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro, NC is seeking a skilled Cat Scan Technician to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform CT imaging procedures, ensure accurate image quality, follow safety and radiation protocols, and collaborate closely with radiologists and clinical staff. You will prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and maintain detailed records in our imaging systems. Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality CT scans according to physician orders and department protocols
  • Verify patient identity, review clinical history, and screen for contraindications to CT and IV contrast
  • Position patients correctly and operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images while minimizing radiation dose
  • Start IV lines and administer contrast media safely, monitoring patients for adverse reactions
  • Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and repeat or adjust studies as needed
  • Accurately document procedures and enter information into the PACS, RIS, and electronic health record systems
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families, explaining procedures and addressing concerns
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other care team members to support timely diagnosis and treatment
  • Maintain a clean, safe imaging environment and follow infection prevention and radiation safety policies
  • Participate in on‑call, weekend, or holiday rotations as needed to support 24/7 patient care
  • Support continuous quality improvement, equipment checks, and adherence to regulatory standards
