Qualifications

• Two-year certificate, Associate’s degree, or Baccalaureate degree in a relevant field.
• Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice is required.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiology and Computed Tomography.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to accept on-call assignments and report within 30 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality computed tomography imaging according to standards.
• Review patient history and physician orders for preparation.
• Monitor patient condition during imaging procedures.
• Analyze scan quality and execute corrective actions as necessary.
• Document findings and report equipment issues.

Job Type: Full-time, Nonexempt. Schedule: Nights.

Overview

Person Memorial Hospital is a full-service, Joint Commission-accredited hospital located in Roxboro, NC, serving Person County and surrounding areas. The hospital provides comprehensive health care services in a modern, community-focused environment, employing over 350 staff members and maintaining a 98-bed capacity.

Responsibilities

The Cat Scan Technician performs high‑quality computed tomography imaging according to established standards of practice. Responsibilities include reviewing patient history and physician orders, educating patients on procedures, preparing and administering contrast media, monitoring patient condition during exams, performing patient positioning and image acquisition, analyzing scan quality, executing corrective actions when needed, performing quality control checks, reporting equipment issues, documenting findings, and participating in performance improvement initiatives. The position requires flexible shift coverage and reliable attendance, and involves working safely in an acute care environment with patients of all ages and exposure to biological and chemical hazards.

Qualifications

• Two‑year certificate, Associate’s degree, or Baccalaureate degree
• Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiology and Computed Tomography
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to accept on‑call assignments and report to the facility within 30 minutes of notification
