Job summary

Pavion is seeking a talented and motivated Technician to join our fire business unit in Georgia. The role entails servicing, testing, and inspecting fire alarm systems, with regular travel to customer sites to ensure peak operation.

You will troubleshoot, replace components, and coordinate with the manager to complete service orders. NICET II certification and Alarm System Notifier experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year installing or servicing alarm systems (fire, burglar, CCTV, access control).
• Valid driver's license required for regular field driving.
• NICET II Certification demonstrates higher expertise in the field.
• Experience troubleshooting and programming Alarm System Notifier.

Responsibilities

• Service, program, test, and inspect fire alarm systems to ensure proper operation.
• Verify all equipment is fully functional and operational.
• Identify causes of problems within alarm systems to facilitate repairs.
• Replace system components as directed, including panels and alarms.
• Provide remote diagnostic support to customers and troubleshoot signal issues.
• Maintain professional demeanor with customers and coordinate with management.

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Technician to join our fire business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Service, program, test, and inspect fire alarm systems to ensure their proper operation.
• Verify that all equipment is fully functional and operational.
• Identify the causes of problems or failures within alarm systems and equipment to facilitate repairs.
• Replace system components as directed, which may include panels, audible/visual alarms, etc.
• Offer technical support to customers, including remote phone diagnosis and troubleshooting of signal issues related to formats and receivers.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers.
• Collaborate with the Manager and dispatcher to efficiently complete service and work orders.
• Provide updates to the dispatcher and/or manager regarding service status to enable appropriate actions.
• Take responsibility for the upkeep of assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year of experience in either installing or servicing burglar alarm, fire alarm, closed-circuit television, or access control systems
• This position requires regular driving to customer and project sites. A valid drivers license is required.
• NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) II Certification, indicating a higher level of expertise and knowledge in the field
• Specific experience with Alarm System Notifier, including proficiency in troubleshooting and programming related to this system

The hourly pay range for this position is $38.00–$45.00 per hour . The starting hourly pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
