Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is hiring a general laborer to support sewer maintenance, inspection and rehabilitation projects. You will operate and maintain pipe bursting equipment and perform duties under supervision in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires outdoor work year-round, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to travel 100% with daily per diem of $60. We offer a competitive package including health, dental, 401K and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in physical labor and/or outdoor construction preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test, D.O.T. physical and driver’s license check.
• Willingness to travel 100% with daily per diem.

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

• General laborer who performs all work tasks required to support execution of sewer maintenance, inspection and/or rehabilitation pipeline tasks
• Makes routine decisions and takes direction from supervision.

• Can lift, push/pull, carry 50 lbs.

• Capable of following instructions and on-the-job training.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic or advanced math skills.
• Ability to operate a variety of simple and complex tools.

Education And Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working in a physical labor position and/or outdoor construction preferred.
• Ability to enter and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work overtime and out of town, 100% travel, includes daily per diem ($60 / day).
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, D.O.T. physical and driver’s license check for past 36 months without any suspensions or major traffic violations (D.O.T. requirements).
