Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking practical, safety‑driven workers to join one of the country's fastest growing infrastructure teams in Virginia. This full‑time role involves operating and maintaining equipment to support sewer maintenance, inspection, and rehabilitation projects.

We value reliability and teamwork, with training provided. You will work outdoors in various weather, lift up to 50 lbs, wear PPE, and follow directions from supervision.

Qualifications

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Operation and maintenance of all equipment
• Performs all work tasks required to support execution of sewer maintenance, inspection and/or rehabilitation pipeline tasks
• Makes routine decisions and takes direction from supervision.
• Able to work in the elements - extreme cold and heat for long duration.
• Can lift, push/pull, carry 50 lbs.

Skills and Specifications:

• Capable of following instructions and on-the-job training.
• Ability to operate a variety of simple and complex tools.

Education and Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, and twisting.
• Ability to enter confined spaces.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work in various weather conditions.
• Able to wear required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working as required by the job.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but can include shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.

Salary Range

• $23.00- $26.00, depending on position qualifications, job related skills and experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
