New Century Mazda in Alhambra, CA is seeking an entry-level Lube Technician to perform oil changes, tire rotations, and lubrication to maintain vehicle performance and safety. You will inspect fluids and wear items, replace basic components, and ensure work meets Mazda standards.

You will document all work, road test when required, and participate in factory training while keeping work areas organized and compliant with regulations.

General Responsibilities: Entry Level Lube TechnicianPerform oil changes, tire rotations, and lubrication of mechanical systems to maintain vehicle performance and safetyInspect fluid levels including engine oil, transmission, brake, power steering, and differential fluidsConduct multi-point vehicle inspections to identify potential issues such as leaks, worn tires, or brake concernsReplace basic maintenance items like filters, windshield wipers, and batteriesPromote and attain Mazda standards for superior workmanshipPrimary Responsibilities:Perform work as described on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Mazda factory and New Century Mazda standards.Examine vehicle to identify necessary repairs or maintenance items that may not be included on the repair order, and communicate to Service Advisor, Shop foreman or Service Manager.Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain needed parts.Notify Service Advisor or Shop Foreman immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined on repair order is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed by the time promised.Clearly and accurately document all work performed.Road test vehicles as required.Attend and successfully complete factory training as required by factory or New Century Mazda. Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.Follow warranty material disposition procedures. Save and tag parts of the job if requested by the customer.Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.Maintain the order and cleanliness of customer vehicles and work areas.Account for all New Century Mazda owned tools at all times. Return them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.Meet all requirements of state and federal law dealing with automobile repair and consumer protection.Supervise work of any trainees as assigned.Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.Help maintain the Dealership in a presentable manner. Help keep all areas clean, organized, and professional looking at all times.
