Job summary

Itron, Inc. is seeking an energetic Technical Writer to deliver clear, accurate documentation for hardware and software solutions that support utilities worldwide. You will learn our tools and processes while contributing to customer-centric content in an agile environment.

You will collaborate with engineering, product management, support, and QA to ensure technical accuracy, localization readiness, and high-quality deliverables across multiple releases.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience creating technical or procedural documentation with clear, structured writing.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and project management skills for multi-document workstreams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with inclusive, customer-focused language.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply Itron’s documentation standards to create and maintain end-user and developer content.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, support, and QA to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Translate complex product information into clear, concise documentation and release notes.
• Manage multiple documentation projects across hardware, software, and firmware release cycles.
