Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Technical Writer/Quality Assurance Specialist in New York to document end-to-end requirements and ensure the quality of MEAN applications. The role collaborates with technical leads, BAs and developers in an agile environment, focusing on test automation, API testing and CI/CD processes.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in technical writing and 3+ years in QA for web platforms, with demonstrated experience using Selenium, API testing, GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with technical writing and documenting requirements and user guides
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance for complex web applications
• Experience designing, developing, managing and executing test cases with QA tools
• Proven experience with test automation using Selenium and API testing
• Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
• English language proficiency (oral and written)

Responsibilities

• Document end-to-end traceability of business requirements in SharePoint
• Produce and maintain high-quality documentation including use-case docs, functional specs, UI design/wireframes and guides
• Ensure branding and accessibility guidelines are followed
• Work in an agile team to ensure quality of MEAN applications
• Develop, modify, and execute functional test scripts and analyze bugs
• Collaborate with technical leads, BAs and developers to identify operational risks and resolve issues
