Qualifications

• Basic SQL and API testing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Create and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Re-test defects after fixes and verify issues are resolved.
• Perform API testing using Postman.
• Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts.
• Work with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and release testing.
• Collaborate with developers and business teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
• Maintain test documentation, test results, and QA reports.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated QA Engineer / Software Tester with 0-3 years of experience to join our technology team in New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing fundamentals and will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure software applications meet functional and quality requirements.

This role provides an opportunity to work across manual testing, functional testing, regression testing, API testing, database validation, and test automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Create and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and exploratory testing.

• Exposure to Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or other automation tools is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent technical education, internship, academic, or project experience may be considered.
