Job summary

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Technical Writer III to support our Charleston, SC team within the Project Management Office. The role focuses on producing governance documentation across functional requirements, technical analyses, build/release artifacts, and QA artifacts, under the direction of tier leads.

You will translate complex discussions into clear, conformant documents, maintain templates, support Jira-based workflows, and balance multiple programs while meeting gate-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in IT service delivery documentation.
• Ability to translate discussions into structured written artifacts without altering content.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Draft and maintain governance-required documentation across program service tiers (Functional Requirements, Technical Analysis, Build Checklists, Release Notes, QA/Code Review).
• Participate in analysis sessions to gather requirements from tier leads and SMEs, translating into structured artifacts.
• Ensure documentation conforms to templates, naming conventions, and quality gates.
• Maintain consistency of style and terminology across tiers and teams.
