Knowesis seeks a Technical Writer II in Arlington, VA with approved Telework to provide technical editing, QA, and compliance reviews for executive products and advisory deliverables.

The role requires 508-compliant document creation, editing, and publishing using Word/Acrobat/Drupal, and maintaining DHS/CISA-aligned standards. Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in technical writing, editing, and publishing.
• Experience creating Section 508-compliant documents.
• Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical editing of committee reports and studies to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry style guides.
• Use editing and publishing tools (Word, Acrobat, Drupal) to produce templates and ensure 508-compliant deliverables.
• Perform quality assurance and compliance reviews for accuracy and tone in alignment with DHS and CISA standards.
• Support the development, tracking, and adjudication of complex document packages, including reports and graphics.

Anticipated Salary Range: $105,000– $130,000

Knowesis is seeking a Technical Writer II to provide technical editing, quality assurance, and compliance reviews for executive products, reports, and advisory committee deliverables.

The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct technical editing of committee reports and studies to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry style guides.
• Use editing and publishing tools (Word, Acrobat, Drupal) to produce templates and ensure 508-compliant deliverables.
• Perform quality assurance and compliance reviews for accuracy and tone in alignment with DHS and CISA standards.
• Support the development, tracking, and adjudication of complex document packages, including reports and graphics.

Required Qualifications:

• Professional experience in technical writing, editing, and publishing.
• Demonstrated experience creating Section 508-compliant documents.
• Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with federal government or DHS-specific style guides.
