Job summary

Red Peak Technical Service, LLC, a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC, seeks a Technical Writer II to support FRCE Cherry Point NC. The role focuses on NSIV-compliant S1000D data modules (Issue 4.1) with data from Logistics and Engineering and OEM sources, using NMCI assets.

The candidate will develop IETMs, participate in QA events, and ensure adherence to NAVAIR 00-25-604 standards. Strong editing, research, and documentation skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of related technical writing experience.
• Experience with IETM data modules and XML editors (EAGLE Arbortext or similar).
• Knowledge of NAVAIR 00-25-604 and S1000D guidelines.
• Ability to write, edit and QA of IETM data modules.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver NSIV-compliant S1000D data modules (Issue 4.1).
• Create and update IETMs and data modules per NAVAIR guidelines.
• Support QA events and participate in reviews.
• Analyze and report on fielded NAVAIR Technical Publications using JDRS and TMAPS.
• Utilize government-provided tools and workflows.
