Job summary

CACI International Inc is seeking a Technical Writer to support the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM. You will write and review technical engineering documentation, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and DoD-compliant standards.

You will create illustrated materials for presentations and publications, collaborate with subject matter experts, and prepare documents for internal and external distribution, with up to 25% travel and a SECRET clearance requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in English, communications, journalism, computer science, web design, engineering, or a related field
• 3 to 7 years of relevant experience, multiple levels needed

Responsibilities

• Write technical articles, reports, brochures, and manuals for documentation across a wide range of uses.
• Integrate graphics, text, and other media to create compelling presentations and publications.
• Coordinating the production process to ensure materials are produced efficiently and effectively.
• Proofread and edit correspondence, documents, memoranda, presentations, and other publication materials to meet DoD spelling, grammar, and style standards.
• Assist content providers, identify appropriate medium and format for presentations/publications.
• Oversee preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts, and quality reviews of these materials.
• Produce, proofreading, editing, and formatting technical documentation including design specifications, manuals, online help, procedures, plans, and proposals.
• Edit and format information for consumption through various media channels (print, scripted voice content, email, websites, and other electronic access points).
• Gather information, interview subject matter experts, and conduct research to convey technical material concisely and effectively.
