AttainX, Inc. is seeking a Technical Writer I to draft, edit, format, and maintain clear technical and executive documentation for CISA’s Sector Management leadership and engagement.

You will work under supervision to support the Stakeholder Engagement Division’s critical infrastructure engagement and advisory services. The role requires 1–2 years of related writing experience, a bachelor’s degree in English or related field, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat; flexibility to

Qualifications

• Entry-level writing experience (1–2 years) in technical writing or government documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in English, communications, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting skills with ability to follow templates and guidance.
• Ability to organize information from SMEs into clear, audience-appropriate drafts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with drafting and formatting sector-specific memos, briefing decks, and post-engagement reports using approved templates.
• Compile SME input and sector information into draft documents for review.
• Proofread and edit materials for grammar and DHS/CISA style; ensure 508 accessibility guidance is followed.
• Prepare post-engagement summaries and maintain production logs.
• Maintain version-controlled drafts and records supporting governance and coordination.
• Assist with rapid briefing notes during urgent events and after-action summaries.
