Job summary
Gromelski and Associates, Inc. seeks a Technical Writer to prepare, review, and maintain technical documents for software and systems engineering, including installation, troubleshooting, and user guides. This role requires close collaboration with engineers and SMEs to translate complex information into clear, end-user friendly publications.
The position is onsite in Syracuse, NY, with relocation assistance available. Candidates must be a U.S.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years technical writing experience in DoD programs.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and maintenance procedures.
- Experience producing defense acquisition documentation and user manuals.
- Proficient with Office suite and technical illustration tools.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents for software and systems.
- Write and edit installation, troubleshooting, and end-user guides.
- Create code documentation and implementation guides for capabilities.
- Extract data definitions and document data flows.
- Format publications from pamphlets, drawings, and SME consultations.
- Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy.
