Job summary

Deltek Talent Management is seeking a Technical Writer to support mission-critical software and systems engineering efforts. You will assist engineering teams with documentation from installation guides to complex cryptologic and analytic methodologies, coordinating across phases and ensuring clarity for diverse readers.

Responsibilities include preparing, editing, and maintaining technical documents, creating user manuals, and producing training materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Target six (6) years of experience as a Technical Writer on programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity OR ten (10) years with substitution.
• Must have TS/SCI w/Polygraph clearance (Full Scope preferred).
• 100% on-site in a secure facility in the Annapolis Junction/Hanover, MD area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents including software, systems engineering, operations, testing, and user documentation.
• Write and edit installation, configuration, and how-to documentation for hardware and software.
• Create code documentation for software and develop implementation and end-user guides.
• Provide data flow documentation and format technical publications from multiple sources.
• Coordinate layout and design of documents and prepare reports and briefings for diverse audiences.
