Job summary

Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) seeks a Technical Writer in Syracuse, NY with relocation assistance.

You will prepare, review, and maintain technical documents covering software, systems engineering, and field operations. Responsibilities include authoring and editing installation guides, user manuals, and data documentation; translating complex tech into clear end-user materials, and collaborating with engineers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of technical writing in programs and contracts of a similar scope and complexity within the Federal Government is required.
• Candidate must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance (U.S. citizenship with no dual citizenship).
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and maintenance documentation for complex systems.
• Ability to produce installation, troubleshooting, repair, configuration and user documentation.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit technical documentation for software and systems engineering, operations and testing.
• Create end-user guides, implementation guides and data definitions from multiple sources.
• Prepare field documentation from pamphlets, drawings, and SME consultations.
• Convert technical information into clear, reader-friendly manuals and user materials.
