Job summary

Knowledge Services is seeking a Technical Writer for a contract through the end of June 2027 with potential for extension. Work is 100% onsite in Downtown Indianapolis, with a potential move to a hybrid model. Pay rate is $22–$25 per hour.

Responsibilities include managing documents in PolicyTech, updating procedures, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Candidates should have at least 3 years of technical writing experience and strong writing and editing skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical writing experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent writing, editing, and grammar abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to coordinate with project teams both in-person and virtually.
• Capability to learn DMS/LMS systems with minimal instruction.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams; Adobe Acrobat Pro/DC.

Responsibilities

• Manage, update, organize, and store documents in PolicyTech and shared networks.
• Ensure documents are accurate, accessible, and compliant across teams.
• Review and revise procedures, forms, and supporting documents.
• Maintain and archive documents in DMS/LMS and shared drives.
• Edit user guides and policy documents per governance rules.
• Coordinate with staff to obtain information and conduct revisions.
