Aquent is partnering with an innovative cloud data platform seeking a part-time Technical Writer to enable users to set up and harness the platform’s powerful features. You will help create precise, user-friendly documentation and release notes, focusing on installation procedures to ensure seamless product integration.

Work closely with product managers, support engineering, and fellow writers in an agile environment. Remote role, start ASAP, through year-end, ~3 days per week.

Formación

• Proven experience as a technical writer for complex B2B SaaS products.
• Strong written and verbal communication translating technical concepts into clear language.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

About The Opportunity

This is an exceptional and dynamic opportunity to become a key contributor within an innovative data intelligence platform. As a Technical Writer, you will be instrumental in enabling users to effortlessly set up and harness the platform’s powerful features. You will play a crucial role in enhancing product clarity, directly influencing user satisfaction, and accelerating product adoption. Collaborating closely with product managers, support engineering, and fellow writers, you will develop comprehensive, precise, and user-friendly documentation and release notes. Your primary focus on creating clear, concise installation procedures will ensure seamless product integration and user success, directly empowering customers to maximize their data’s potential.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate closely with product managers, support engineering, and other stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of product features, functionality, and target audience.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, with a strong emphasis on installation procedures, alongside clear and informative release notes.
• Ensure all documentation is consistently accurate, exceptionally well-organized, and easily consumable by a diverse user base.
• Integrate seamlessly into agile development sprints, delivering high-quality documentation on time and aligned with project requirements.
• Leverage modern technical writing tools such as GitBook and/or Markdown to produce and manage content.
• Proactively engage with stakeholders to seek clarification, gather additional information, and ensure complete accuracy.
• Conduct thorough documentation audits to identify and implement continuous improvements, enhancing overall content quality and user experience.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience as a technical writer, specifically for complex B2B SaaS products.
• A strong understanding of data quality concepts and underlying technologies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear and accessible language.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in both independent work settings and collaborative team environments.
• Proficiency in using technical writing tools, including GitBook and/or Markdown.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and workflows.
• A genuine passion for creating clear, concise, and highly informative technical documentation that empowers users.

Other Requirements

• Start = ASAP
• Duration = through the end of the year
• Part time hours, working 3 days per week, approx 8 hours per day
• *Client is also open to this person working more than 3 days per week but then assignment duration will be shorter than end of the year.
• This is fully remote.
