Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Technical Writer to support a high-visibility US Coast Guard prototype initiative. This fully remote role offers the chance to join a rapidly growing, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business serving federal and commercial clients.

The Technical Writer will ensure all project deliverables are accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and meet USCG documentation requirements. Active Secret Clearance is required to be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–8 years of technical writing in technical, engineering, or federal environments.
• Experience creating user manuals, SOPs, system documentation, proposals, and knowledge-base articles.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured docs.
• Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and maintain all technical documentation throughout the prototype lifecycle.
• Document system architecture, design decisions, deployment procedures, and testing results.

The Technical Writer will play a key role in ensuring all project deliverables are accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and meet USCG documentation requirements.

This position requires an Active Secret Clearance to be considered for the role

Responsibilities of the Technical Writer include:

• Develop, organize, and maintain all technical documentation throughout the prototype lifecycle.
• Document system architecture, design decisions, deployment procedures, and testing results.

Compensation for the Technical Writer includes:

• Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000
