Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Technical Writer to support a high-visibility US Coast Guard prototype initiative in a fully remote role. You will ensure all project deliverables are accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and meet USCG documentation requirements.

This position requires an Active Secret Clearance and offers a comprehensive benefits package with salary in the mid 60s to mid 70s thousands, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
• 5–8 years of technical writing experience in engineering or federal environments.
• Proven ability to develop user manuals, SOPs, system documentation, and knowledge-base articles.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and maintain technical documentation across the prototype lifecycle.
• Document system architecture, deployment procedures, and testing results.
• Ensure materials meet USCG standards and formatting requirements.
• Translate complex concepts into clear documentation for diverse audiences.
• Support design artifacts, risk assessments, and transition deliverables.
