The role emphasizes clarity, consistency, and continuous improvement. You’ll plan, write, edit, and maintain guides, API references, and release notes across regions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical writing experience for software or technical products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, CS, or related field, or equivalent.
• Ability to craft clear, concise, task-based documentation for diverse audiences.
• Experience with Markdown, HTML, wikis or component content management systems.
• Strong collaboration with engineers and product managers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, write, edit, and maintain user-facing documentation for AWS Boost-like content.
• Create API references, process guides, and content-management documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and UX designers to translate complex features into clear steps.
• Enforce documentation standards, templates, and information architecture.

Our client, a leading organization in data center operations and technology support, is seeking a dedicated Technical Writer to join their team. As a Technical Writer, you will be an integral part of the Documentation Support team, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, UX designers, and operations teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range:$80-$86

What's the Job?

• Plan, write, edit, and maintain comprehensive user-facing documentation for AWS Boost, including user guides, onboarding materials, FAQs, and release notes.
• Create detailed developer-facing technical content such as API references, process-authoring guides, and content-management documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and UX designers to understand complex features and translate them into clear, step-by-step instructions for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Establish and enforce documentation standards, style guidelines, templates, and information architecture to ensure consistency and scalability across regions and audiences.
• Manage documentation throughout the product release cycle, ensuring content remains current with product updates and regional launches.

What's Needed?

• At least 3 years of experience in technical writing, producing software or technical product documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven ability to craft clear, concise, task-based documentation for diverse audiences.
• Experience with structured documentation tools and formats such as Markdown, HTML, wikis, or component content management systems.
• Strong collaboration skills, with experience partnering with software engineers and product managers to gather and verify technical information.
