Job summary

Resourcesoft, Inc. is seeking a senior technical writer to develop SOPs, runbooks, and manuals for enterprise IT operations.

The role involves creating detailed Visio diagrams, maintaining SharePoint document repositories, and ensuring alignment with cybersecurity and IT governance standards. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of enterprise IT documentation experience, strong communication skills, and expertise across cybersecurity, DR/BC, and ITIL/NIST/CIS frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical writing within enterprise IT environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for diagrams.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 platforms including advanced SharePoint document libraries and Word.
• Experience in authoring IT infrastructure runbooks, SOPs, and technical manuals.
• Experience with cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity documentation standards.
• Experience in ITIL, NIST, or CIS framework documentation and information architecture.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Author comprehensive SOPs, system runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures for enterprise IT operations.
• Generate detailed technical architecture diagrams, process maps, and workflow visuals using Microsoft Visio.
• Structure and maintain document repositories, lifecycle metadata, and versioning standards in SharePoint.
• Interview subject matter experts across cybersecurity and infrastructure to capture institutional technical workflows.
• Standardize documentation templates, style guidelines, and naming conventions across technical departments.
• Translate discovery assessments and business analyst requirements into published administrative procedures.
• Facilitate document review cycles and incorporate technical stakeholder feedback for final publication.
