Job summary

Generis Tek Inc in St. Paul, MN is seeking a Technical Writer for a 6-month, onsite contract.

You will research, write and edit technical documentation to support new and sustaining product development projects, collaborating with engineering, regulatory affairs and clinical teams. A bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required, with 2–6 years of medical device or biotech writing experience and experience with document control and content management systems (AIT, Vasont, Windchill).

Technical Writer – St. Paul, MN

Location : St. Paul, MN – 55117 (100% Onsite)

Project Duration : 6 Months of contract

Shift Timing : Daytime Hours (Mon to Fri)

Pay Rate : $55.00 per hour on W2

Job Description:

• Research, write, edit technical documentation to support new and sustaining product development projects.
• Collaborate with development engineering, marketing, regulatory affairs, and clinical, among others, to gather inputs for IFUs.
• Follow internal processes and procedures.
• Understand and comply to medical device regulatory requirements related to labeling.
• Technical aptitude for learning new tools and systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Experience / familiarity releasing documentation in Document Control system.
• Very high-level attention to detail.
• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical discipline, Communications, Science, English or equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of two to six plus years of progressively more responsible experience as a technical writer in a medical or high-technology (preferably biotechnology) environment.
• Experience working in a content management system required.
• Must have current or recent medical device or pharma industry experience.
• Must have 2-6 years of experience in the medical device industry.
• Must have end-user technical writing experience; that is, direct experience writing clinician and/or patient manuals.
• Content Management experience (AIT, Vasont, etc.), medical device writing experience, Windchill experience, writing external end user documentation for patients and clinicians
