Position Purpose

The Technical Writer creates clear and concise documentation for technical products or processes, translating complex information into user‑friendly content such as user manuals, installation guides, and online help systems. The role works closely with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy in writing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document Creation: Produce user manuals, installation guides, technical specifications, and other documentation to support product use.
  • Content Development: Research, gather, and organize information from subject matter experts to create accurate technical documentation.
  • Document Review & Editing: Review and edit technical documents for clarity, accuracy, and consistency, checking for grammar, spelling, and formatting errors.
  • Document Maintenance: Update and revise existing documentation to reflect changes in products, processes, or industry standards.
  • Collaboration: Work with developers, engineers, and product managers to gather information and ensure documentation meets audience needs.
  • Knowledge Base Management: Organize and maintain a centralized repository or knowledge base for easy access.
  • Standards & Process Improvement: Follow established documentation standards and style guides, suggest improvements, and leverage internal GPT services where possible.
Work Environment

Hybrid work environment with three days in the office required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a technical writer, preferably in IT infrastructure.
  • Proven experience using Confluence for documentation management and content creation.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure concepts (networking, servers, cloud computing, cybersecurity).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and explain them clearly.
  • Proficiency with documentation tools and software; Google preferred.
  • Experience creating visual aids and diagrams using tools such as Lucidchart.
